  Ahmed was invited to be a Trustee in January 2025. This is his 8th role as School Governor having been an Independent School Governor in both State and Independent Private Muslim Schools that include Nursery, Primary School, High School and Sixth Form. He has been the Chair of Trustees at ILM since September 2025.

  In other community work, in 2023 Ahmed was invited to lead the Newport Coalition of Mosques as a vehicle to bring leaders together and help bring about change to benefit Newport Muslims.

  Ahmed has lived in London, Europe, and Saudi Arabia working on large, complex, UK national risk Programmes and Projects and also led UK Government to Government and multilateral negotiations at the European Union and United Nations.

  Zahid joined ILM Schools as a Trustee in July 2025. A local entrepreneur and businessman, he brings a wealth of experience in financial management and strategic planning. One of his key responsibilities is overseeing the school's finances and streamlining financial processes to ensure sustainability and growth. Over the past decade, Zahid has been actively involved in various community initiatives and organisations, contributing his skills and leadership to support local development.

  Fahmeeda was asked to be a Trustee by one of our longstanding Headteachers. She started in January 2025. She is a well established and respected Primary School Teacher, and member of her school's Senior Leadership Team. Her focus for ILM had been on stabilising the Schools and building educational standards.

  For the 2025-26 academic year, Fahmeeda's specific focus will be supporting Y5s and Y6s in Raglan House. This will be in addition to adhoc support across Primary and Secondary years learning.

  We are very fortunate to again have Fahmeeda's expertise as she carries on her own legacy as one the Founders of the then Tabouk School that went to become Cardiff Muslim Primary School.
